Product Warranty

Thank you for choosing the Vocci Note-taking Ring ("Product"). We are committed to providing you with high-quality products and excellent customer service. This Limited Warranty Policy ("Policy") is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser. Please read this Policy carefully before using the Product. If the Product is found to be defective within 30 days of delivery, Vocci may replace it with a new unit rather than a refurbished unit.
This Limited Warranty applies to Products purchased directly from Vocci or from authorized Vocci sales channels. (https://vocci.ai/)
Article 1: Warranty Coverage and Period
All original components of the new Product are covered by a one-year warranty for non-EEA (European Economic Area (EEA)) countries and a two-year warranty for EEA countries from the delivery date. The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use in accordance with the user manual and official instructions. The warranty service is specified as follows for different product components:

Important Note: The Smart Ring Unit and the Charging Case are considered separate components. A warranty claim and service for one component do not automatically apply to the other, nor do they extend the original warranty period of the other component.
Article 2: What Is Not Covered (Warranty Exclusions)
This Limited Warranty does not apply to damage or performance issues caused by the following:
1. External Causes & Misuse
- Accident or Abuse: Damage resulting from accidents, abuse, misuse, neglect, improper operation (e.g., forcing the button, exposing the product to extreme temperatures or magnetic fields), fire, earthquake, or other external causes.
- Liquid Damage: Damage caused by exposure to liquids beyond the Product’s specified water-resistance rating is not covered under this warranty.
- Unauthorized Repair or Modification: Any repair, disassembly, modification, or alteration performed by a service provider not authorized by Vocci.
- Improper Storage or Maintenance: Damage resulting from failure to store, clean, or maintain the product according to the instructions in the user manual.
- Purchases from Unauthorized Channels: For products purchased through any unauthorized channels (including but not limited to second-hand platforms or unauthorized resellers), we cannot verify their authenticity or original condition and therefore do not provide any warranty service.
2. Wear, Tear & Aesthetics
- Normal Wear and Tear: Including but not limited to scratches, dents, fading of coatings, or the natural aging of materials.
- Cosmetic Defects: Cosmetic damage that does not affect product functionality, including minor scratches, dents, or coating wear, is not covered.
- Consumables and Accessories: Batteries are consumable components and their capacity naturally decreases over time. However, battery failure resulting from defects in materials or workmanship during the warranty period will be covered under this Limited Warranty.
- Sizing and Comfort: Issues related to ring sizing, fit, or user discomfort are not covered under this warranty.
3. Software & Data Disclaimers
- Hardware Only: This Limited Warranty applies only to the physical hardware of the Product. Software, mobile applications, and cloud services are provided "as-is" and are not covered by this hardware warranty.
- Data Loss: Vocci is not responsible for any loss of audio recordings, data, or other information stored on or transmitted through the Product.
Article 3: How to Obtain Warranty Service
If you believe your Product is eligible for warranty service under this Policy, please follow these steps to initiate a claim:

Prepare Proof of Purchase: You must provide the original order number generated from your purchase on our official Shopify store. This is the sole credential for verifying your purchase eligibility. Purchase records from any other platform will not be accepted.

Contact Customer Support: Get in touch with our customer support team through our official website (Support Page) or by sending an email to support@vocci.ai.

Submit Claim Information: In your request, please clearly describe the issue you are experiencing and include the following:
- Your full name and contact information.
- The order number from the official Shopify store.
- Clear photos or a short video of the affected component, demonstrating the defect or malfunction.
- A detailed written description of the problem.

Initial Assessment: Our support team will conduct a preliminary assessment of your claim. If necessary, we may ask for more information or guide you through simple troubleshooting steps.

Product Return (If Required): If the initial assessment indicates a potential defect covered by the warranty, we will provide you with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and detailed instructions for returning the product. Please do not send any product to us without first obtaining an RMA number.
Article 4: Fulfillment of Warranty Service
Upon receiving the returned product and confirming that it meets the conditions of this Policy, Vocci will, at its sole discretion, fulfill its warranty obligation in one or more of the following ways:

Repair: Repair the defective product using new or refurbished parts to restore it to normal working condition.

Replace: Replace the product with a new or refurbished product of the same or equivalent model and functionality. The replacement product will be covered for the remainder of the original product's warranty period or for ninety (90) days from the date of replacement, whichever is longer.

Refund: In special circumstances where repair or replacement is not feasible, we may opt to refund the original purchase price (a deduction for depreciation based on usage may apply).
If a warranty claim is confirmed, Vocci will cover the cost of return shipping for the repaired or replacement Product. The customer may be responsible for the initial shipping cost to Vocci unless otherwise stated.
Article 5: Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THIS POLICY IS YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY. VOCCI IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, INDIRECT, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM ANY BREACH OF WARRANTY OR UNDER ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, OR LOSS OF USE.
THE ENTIRE LIABILITY OF VOCCI SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE PURCHASE PRICE YOU PAID FOR THE PRODUCT.
Article 6: Governing Law
This Warranty Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of The State of California, USA, People's Republic of China, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
We reserve the right to amend this warranty policy at any time. Any revisions will become effective immediately upon being posted on our official website. Thank you for your understanding and support.
